I'm sorry but I don't organize groups to attend exhibitions. Viewing and studying the work is a solitary endeavor. I've heard Meet Up sometimes does this. Since there's a link list of open shows at the conclusion of every post, I say just go to any that interest you. Openings are usually well attended and you might meet some folks you're looking for!
I'm now very sorry to have missed the opening. I attended the preview of the Queer Detroit Biennial last night at Wayne State, and noticed several beautiful works by Paul Kotula. I am wondering how you will cover this exciting biennial with 170 artists & 800 works of art. Buy lots of coffee.
Ha. Not sure. I don't plan where I'm going more than a week or two out. I might skip this one as I'll cover multiple shows during Mighty Real Queer month in June. Planning a tribute to Diana Alva next week.
Thank you for your posts of openings in Detroit!!! I love Detroit artists and art lovers. I’m in the burbs searching for like minded folks.
Do you ever try to get groups to go to art exhibits together???? I would love to do that!!
You're welcome!
